The ability to present research effectively at scientific meetings is extremely important in science and scholarship. We provide opportunities each semester where students attend an introductory session covering the content of scientific presentations, principles of public speaking and PowerPoint skills, after which they prepare a presentation and deliver this to a small audience. They then receive feedback and advice on how the presentation may be improved.
